Well here we are, into a great flying season so far.


Lee & I attended the CARDS Warbird fly on the 5th. It was well attended, some incredible planes & pilots! This is a great event to attend, CARDS does a great job.


We have our first fly-in this weekend, praying for the weather to hold. Thanks to all the volunteers, going to be a good one once again.

OLD BUSINESS

Meeting Minutes – June 2010


Well, here we are with the flying season starting to get into full swing. We have a lot of events coming up. We will be going on a little road trip on Wednesday, May 19 to the CARDS field for some casual flying. We will be meeting at the park & ride at I-96 & M-50 @ 3 PM. The more the merrier! We will be hosting the CARDS on Thursday May 27 at our field. June is going to be a busy month. There will be the CARDS warbird fly in, our Memorial fly-in, fun fly at Muncie & the airshow at Tramps in Traverse City.

The meeting was called to order at 7pm sharp with 21 people present, including guest Tom Karupa.

The minutes from last month were approved first by Ed Bradley, then Ed Buck and everyone else.

Club Financials – May 2010


Meeting was called to order on time, a nice group of 22.
We now have 2 new members, James Korringa and Mark Tucker. Welcome to the club guys!

The K-Zoo air zoo event is coming up, looks like it's going to be a good time. Let's hope the weather holds, that way if you wish, you can set up your display outside. We could use some volunteers for the make – and – take. Please contact Nikolei if you can help.

Presidents Corner – April 2010



The meeting was called to order by President Mark Schmaltz at 7:00 pm.

Twenty two members were present.

Minutes from the March, 2010 meeting were motioned for approval without change by Jim Peterson and seconded by Al Natali. Motion carried.

The financial status report was presented by Dan McLaren. The report was motioned for acceptance by Dan Osborn and seconded by Lee Frederickson. Motion carried.

Meeting Minutes – April 16th 2010


KRAM is announcing our first annual giant scale fly-in, dubbed 'Sunset Salute'! Come and join us for a spectacular evening of big bird flying on one of the premier flying sites in Western Michigan. The event will take place on Wednesday July 14th, 2010 starting around 4pm. All mono planes with a 80" wingspan or greater, and biplanes 60" or greater are welcome to join the flightline. An entry fee of $5 will pay for a fantastic evening of flying and food. Registration is requested so we can plan for food. If you would like to attend, complete and mail the registration form on the PDF at the end of this page, or email your name, AMA # and # of planes you'll be bringing to lmlubbs@yahoo.com.

KRAM announces 1st annual ‘Sunset Salute’ giant scale fly-in


We had another well attended meting with a guest Jim Korringh. Please welcome him if you see him at the field, he is the one blasting down the rough road to the field in a Corvette! Plus we got to meet our newest member, Andrew Kursch. Welcome Andy!

Speaking of which, it’s that time of year again, please do your best to take it easy on the road if you go flying.
