OLD BUSINESS;

Safety Report:  Mike Murphy gave a presentation on the correct use of CA hinges. A number of things – always use a new #11 blade when cutting the slot. Use one third of a hinge when fitting the parts and hinges so you do not expand the slot before glueing.  Always use new, thin CA  (brand new, not some that has been previously opened and laying around the shop.) when glueing the hinges in place. Others noted there are commercial tools available to make the slot.

VP report – Gary Stephens  reported all Swap Shop items are under control. The Swap raffle plane is purchased and stored at Dan McLaren’s house for safe keeping. Jim Herron will be delivering Flyers to Gary for posting.

Maintenance Officer – Bob Irish reported having been out to the field and finding everything in winter form. Bob did note that we will have some work to do in the spring on the south side of the runway and the west taxiway.

Web Site – Chris Mroch reported all is up and running. Recent changes – Jeff Streit is now listed as the Vet’s event contact. Also, he is working on “pop ups” within the web site. More to follow… He will get the Swap Shop raffle plane up on the web site shortly –  E flight P47 Razorback 1.2m

Chris also brought up the article in this months “Model Aviation” article titled “How Clubs Succeed”. Read the article and see if anything catches your fancy that we should try!

Chris also noted the Club Renewal Form is on the Web Site. (Dan reminds everyone to use it and get their check in the mail before the March meeting.)

Chuck Putney noted he has retired from the Lowell Fire Department. Should make more time to fly!!!

Morion to Adjourn was made by Chuck Putney and seconded by Allen Simpson. Carried at 8:15pm

Dan McLaren
