Meeting Minutes: June 4, 2024
Call to order at 7:01 pm by Vice President Gary Stephens
Held at WMAAHS due to forecasted severe weather

Review of minutes: motion to approve Minutes, Passed
Financial report: read and motion to approve as read, Passed.
Old Business:
Veterans Memorial,
42 attended, Good time was had by the Veterans.
Swap Meet:
Raffle Plane is hung at Riders Hobby Shop above the R/C counter.
Maintenance report:
Thanks to those that helped with mowing for the Vet’s fly in.
American flag replace, Thanks Gary!
Wind sock replaced
Generator surges, Jim H. to checking it out.
Safety:
Setting up Fail Safe, make sure throttle returns to Off when signal is lost at receiver. This will help prevent aircraft from flying off and increasing the risk of property damage or worse.
2.4 Ghz radio systems are susceptible to interference, Avoid flying over the Barns at all costs. This is a Field Rule.

Discussion on what is effecting Our numbers?
Crops, is the corn hurting Our Membership or the Barns, lack of available picnic tables?

New Business:
Longest Day Fly in event June 22 Noon until Dark.
Food?
AMA Sanctioned events: there are none planned at this time. Cost is $25 per event to the AMA. Event Directors discussed.
Ruts under the fabric runway will be addressed.
