Review of the minutes of the May 2th, 2023 meeting

Joseph Asher joined the club last week,   Tony Milanowski is now renewed too.

OLD BUSINESS:

MIKE MURPHY –  Safety Director Report 

Nothing to present, be safe.  Dan reported an electric flyer had an incident where a plane landed nicely and pulled into the taxiway, but when hitting throttle cut it went full power reverse, no injuries ensued

Gary Stephens  V.P.  Report Swap Meet status

  • Submitting sanction paperwork middle of June
    • Dropping Swap Shop flyers in Kalamazoo hobby shop in mid-July.

Dave Hills Maintenance Director Report- 

  • Everything is running smooth, special thanks to Bob Irish for helping mow this am
    • Equipment is all in ship shape

Social activity  Director Report

  • This office is still open we are looking for a new director

 Chris Mroch –  WEBSITE STATUS email sent this afternoon, all is good. 26 pics from the Memorial/Vets fly are posted.

JEFF STREIT PRESIDENT   –

  • Combat nights are now underway on Wednesdays
    • Memorial fly In was a great success

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Coming Events – See KRAM website for more details.
    • Aeromura app discussed, tracks local weather and who’s flying and you can tell what you are bringing to the field to fly if you want.  www.aeromura.net to see the app info and download links.
    • Dan reports we received our 2023 Gold Leader Club certificate
    • Dan Reports IMAC contests in Jackson and Detroit
    • Jim H reports the Baldwin Jets this weekend
    • Chuck P informed there’s some interest from the GR Model Railroad to have a joint swap at a larger venue.

Indoor Flying at MSA across from Riders Hobbies on 28th Street. Monday thru Friday      Call for details and times open.

Show & Tell – a  young visitor brought a UMX Beaver and wanted to try to fly it.

Chuck brought the new UMX Air Tractor.
