Gary Stephens: Swap Shop 2023 report – all is moving along well.
Dave Hills: Maintenance Director Report: All mowers are set to go/ safety fence was installed at the work day, all items on the work list were completed and we were done at noon. Eleven members showed up to help – THANK YOU!
Social Director position remains unfilled. Give Jeff your name if you want to fil the position.
Chris Mroch: Website Status: Chris reports everything is working as it should… Combat dates will be posted just as soon as they are released.
Jeff Streit reported that the Kawasaki ZTR auction just went too high so we did not put a bid in for one of the available units. However, we will be field testing a new FX820A-AS00 EFI 34.5 hp on a 60 inch Country Clipper with joystick steering control for the summer. FYI – a new machine like this would cost $8 grand plus.
Jeff Streit reported the Memorial Fly-In will be June 3, 2023. The vets will arrive at 9:00 with lunch at 11am. Pulled Pork was a good option last year so they would like the same this year with salads. Please bring a dish to pass – salads, Vegetable trays, potato salad, deserts. Fruit Punch, Lemonade, and Water will be available. Remember flyers, military theme.
IT WILL BE A HOT SUNNY DAY SO WE WILL BE SETTING UP THE SHADE TENTS AT 8:00AM IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO HELP.
The “Longest Day” event will be June 24th with flying starts at 9:00am and going until the sun goes down. 6:00 pm will be dinner of BBQ Ribs, chicken, brats, and sides.
The school will be launching their rockets on May 11 from 10am to 2pm. Come out and watch the fun.
We voted not to contribute anything to the Scale World Championship fund raiser. If you care to donate personally, send to AMA.
If you are really interested in what the weather is like at the field, go to the “Back yard Weather Station” and find the info for Alto. And it is free!
Next meeting is June 6 at 7:00pm at the field.
A motion to adjourn was made by Jeff Streit and seconded by Chuck Putney. Motion carried
Respectfully submitted,
Dan McLaren
