Call to order at 7:00 by President Gary Stephens

Review of the Minutes of the June 7, 2022, meeting resulted in no changes.

The Financial Report presented by Jim Grant. No questions asked.

 Old Business

Mike Murphy – Safety Message relative to the corn. The corn will be reaching over 12 feet soon. Should you lose an airplane in the corn follow the following:

  1. Always carry your cell phone with you.
  2. Carry a note on your wallet of our address, 8001 Wingier Road.
  3. Lay one of our PVC pipes directing where you went into the corn.
  4. Leave your AMA license in the cupboard.

Jim Herron – Swap Shop 2022 update – $172.00 has been received for the raffle plane. AMA approval is on their website. Swap Shop flyers are on our KRAM website.

Dave Hills – status of the field

The field and runway are in good shape. Dave donated $51.83 for gas.

Jeff Streit – Social Director – Vets Picnic-We had 7-9 vets and their handlers attend. The food was delicious and included much brought by members. Comments by the vets were that they enjoyed the event.

Gary Stephens – Field layout and safety was discussed. Mike Nolan offered a pole similar to our flagpole for the west side of the netting. We have a $500.00 donation to cover the cost.

New Business

Gary Stephens noted that some of our signage is looking a little faded in the spectator area. Gary was delegated to decide which signs needed refreshing and is authorized to get it done.

Gary noted that the text message used to notify those that want to be notified when others are going out to the field is up and running. If you want to be added to the email list, contact Gary.

Indoor flying is available at MSA (across 28th Street from Rider’s) on Monday through Friday. Check schedule for times. Membership is $25.00, then $5.00 per session or no membership and $10.00 per session.

Show and Tell – Lee Lubbers brought a list of airplanes and kits that he has for sale. Chris will add it to our website.
