Minutes of the MAY 4, 2021 Meeting
Call to order at 7:01pm by President Gary Stephens
There were 15 Members present with no guests.
Review of the Minutes of the APRIL 6, 2021 meeting elicited no conversation.

The Financial Report presented by Dan McLaren generated no discussion.

Old Business
Mike Murphy – Safety Message with special guest Dave Hills gave a description of how he got 11 stitches in his middle finger from a prop strike. Made the painful mistake of reaching over the prop from the front to make adjustments…
Jim Herron – Swap Shop 2021 update – updated flyer is just about ready to go.
Dave Hills – status of the field – not using any more of the pea gravel for the runway so he will offer it to the farmer if he wants it. Field has been mowed for the first time. Weed killer is to be applied soon. (actual date of application was May 1 so all the dandelions are just about gone.)
Steve O’Connor – dates are on the calendar!
Lee Frederickson – schedule for combat for the summer to be found on Web Site
Chris Mroch – reports the web site is up to date with dates for summer events.
New Business
Gary Stephens made a motion to amend our Field Rules to add:
“No flying over or near the barns to the East of the field.”
Dan McLaren seconded the motion and the motion carried. This rule will be added at the end of the current Field Rules.
Gary Stephens – Web Site / Web Master issues are not an issue anymore thanks to Chris Mroch. Thanks for all the research and effort Chris.
Gary Stephens reported that the field will be closed Saturday, May 8 from just before 8:00am until 12:30pm due to 5k and 10k races being run in the area.

Show and Tell –
Mike Murphy showed off his new pattern plane for 2021. It is a NTS Limited Advantage. It is a 2 meter plane with T conilazer with tapered wing for snaps, LIPO Battery, 10 cell, class has an 11# max, has a HiMax Outrunner, X Bus System with Digi switch and voltage regulator. Now go finish first for the season Mike!
Chuck Putney showed off his new E Flight Horizon Hobby Drayco. This plane has a 100 Amp ESC with 4000V 4 cell or 7000V 6cell battery. It has lights that can be controlled, motor reverse, sprung gear, plug in wings, and a tail that detaches! Look good Chuck!
