Old Business
Mike Murphy – Safety Message – Mike told us of a feature on his phone that automatically sends a message to his wife when he arrives at the field and when he leaves the field. Prevents worry on the part of our better half! This would be especially important when you go out alone and remain alone for the afternoon. Sounds simple to do on a smart phone – go to shortcuts and set up an automatic message. Your wife will love it!
Jim Herron – Swap Shop 2021 is a go! October 24, 2021 more to follow.
Raffle Plane 2021 will be an E-Flight Conscendo Evolution 1.5m Bind and Fly with speeds up to 100mph and flies on a 3S 2200 or 4S 1300.
Dave Hills – Proposed getting a bucket tractor to move the runway gravel. He has a friend who could share a day’s rental. McLaren made a motion to authorize Dave to spend up to $250 on the project if it was felt it would be beneficial. Jim Grant seconded and the vote carried.
Dan McLaren reported that the entire field had been rolled and appeared to be in good shape. Dave will take a good look and decide if we need to do more at this time.
Steve O’Connor – Dan contacted the Vets Home for planning of Vets Picnic in September. The vets are not “going out in the community” as long as the virus is still around.
Other planned items for the summer tentatively include:
KRAM Memorial Fly In June 12
Longest Day Fly In June 26
KRAM Picnic August 14
Lee Frederickson – schedule for combat for the summer TBD. Looks like we will have about 14 weeks of combat at one club or another throughout the summer. Dates and locations are being finalized.
Danny Osborn – has modified the KRAM flyer and placed it at Rider’s. Copies are in the pin box if you see a visitor and want to pass out the information about our club.
New Business
Dan McLaren –
Dues are now well past due. All unpaid members have been dropped from the roster. A new roster will be posted in the pin box shortly.
AMA CHARTER AND Insurance Certificate are received
Dandelion control and crabgrass preventer scheduled. Total cost is $385 which David Hills and Lee Frederickson have agreed to cover for the club. If you want to help out, give your contributions to David or Lee
Gary Stephens – requirements for a quorum in our ByLaws currently read:
Section V B. For the purposes of KRAM club meetings twelve members including two (2) officers will suffice for a quorum to validly transact business.
Gary Stephens made a motion to change Section V B to read:
For the purposes of KRAM club meetings eight members, including two (2) officers, will suffice for a quorum to validly transact business.
Dan McLaren seconded the motion and the motion carried (15 to 2).
Gary Stephens – Web Master Mark Terrazzino has been overwhelmed in his professional life. Gary asked if anyone cared to help out or take over. Chris Mroch raised his hand and has been working diligently ever since learning the system. Thanks Chris.
