Minutes of the FEBRUARY 5, 2019 Meeting

Review of the Minutes of the JANUARY 8, 2019 meeting resulted in no changes or additions.

Old Business
Mike Murphy – Safety Message for the month was to take the time during this non flying to inspect and repair your gear. Servos may need to be disassembled and greased and all wires checked for cuts or breaks. The woman’s make up section at Meijer’s can be a good place to find things like q tips and other devices to make the job easy. Check all electrical connections for signs of corrosion. Plug and unplug a few times just to be sure there is a good, clean connection.
Jim Grant – Swap Shop 2019 – Jim had the swap shop at the meeting and it looks very nice. Running Lights and all. Thanks to Riders for their generous support. Plane is a Horizon E-Flight 51.5 inch Cherokee. Brian Thomas is finishing the advertising flyer so it will be available for some of the upcoming swap shops.
Jim Herron – No Maintenance Comments this month.
Dan McLaren – Dues are due! $75 again this year. Renewal form attached to meeting reminder email.

Danny Osborn – Ladies Night Out was approved and scheduled for April 13 at Brann’s Restaurant
Phil Shea discussed the Poker Fun event and it was determined that there will be three cash prizes rather than only one for the event. Also, the Combat invitational has been renamed the Combat Extravaganza.
Dan McLaren reported that “True Green” will spray the field with dandelion killer and pre-emergent crabgrass killer for $300. Approval to contract was given.
Mike Murphy noted that AMA is running an “Intro to Precision Aerobatics –Pattern” at Muncie on June 1 and 2. No entry fee. If interested, talk to Mike!!!

Show and Tell – Jim Grant showed off the Raffle Plane – light package and all. Good choice Jim!
