Minutes of the December 6, 2016 Meeting
Called to order at 7:00pm by President Lee Frederickson
There were 16 Members present
No guests present at this meeting.
Review of the Minutes of the November 1, 2016 meeting produced no additions, deletions, or corrections.

The Financial Report was presented by Dan McLaren. Dan noted the balance available for activities was directly related to the savings gained by Lee Frederickson and Lee Lubbers donating time to mow the field the past two years. No questions or comments resulted.

No New Members this month.
So far seven members have renewed their membership for 2017.
Old Business
Mike Murphy was unavailable for a Safety review due to the Michigan Vote Recount. Stay tuned for next month.

Election of Club Officers for 2017 as listed below was unanimous. New officers take over at the January meeting.

Dan – Club Dues are due by the end of the year. A renewal form was attached to the Agenda and should be filled out and returned to me with you check for $75 ($50 for associate members).

KRAM Fly-In January 1, 2017
Jim Herron asked if there was any interest in a field trip to the Air Force Museum. Six members present expressed an interest. Led to added discussion about renting a van and driving vs. approaching Steve Gutshaw about flying down. Added discussion was to couple the visit with a day at the Toledo show. Jim to bring more info to future meeting.
Jim Grant was tasked to get us a guided tour of the WMAA facility. Many have only seen the high bay where we have our meeting. More to follow.
A glider ride is another item that came up as a club bucket list item.
Mark Schmaltz asked all to think about future lawn mowing alternatives and consider selling our existing mower and trailer and buying a sit down zero turn mower. Discussion to follow at future meetings.
Lee Frederickson thanked all that helped make his two years in office enjoyable and wished all an enjoyable holiday season.
Show and Tell
Jim Grant showed off his new Goldberg Tiger II. He had the wing so he scratch built a fuse and powered it with a P.A.W. 5 which is an English diesel motor. It will swing a 12/8 prop. Can’t wait for warm weather!
Lee Frederickson told about a profile plane that Bernie Despres brought to the swap meet that Lee decided to build. He has made it a 60 size electric with a 5 cell battery that has turned out “neat”! Fifteen minutes to build! Look out spring!
