Review of the Minutes of the May 3, 2016 meeting
CORRECTION: I left out the good news from Mike Grady about his excellent finishes at Top Gun this year. Sorry about that Mike. Mike finished 1st in Team Scale with the Mig-15. He was high static score in Team Scale with the Mig-15. The B-17 placed 2nd for Best Military and 4th place in Unlimited Scale with the B-17. Way to go!!!

Old Business
Mike Murphy – Safety review. Mike covered 2.4 antenna placement for best results. With two wire systems, always place the wires 90 degrees from one another. Likewise, never have the transmitter antenna pointing directly at the plane. Any configuration that points the tip of the transmitter antenna directly at the tip of the receiver wire ends produces the minimum possible signal and should be avoided. Many of the Spectrum system receiver wires want to coil up – this is bad as it reduces signal.

Lee thanked everyone who worked on the runway ruts and all affirmed the runway is much improved and all was done by lunch time.
The flag pole was replaced by Tim Powers with help from Brian Thomas and a new flag was purchased by Dave Kingma.
George / Dan – “take this home” stickers format is completed and just awaits printing. Thanks to Nik for another helping hand.
Dan – Vet’s Home contact made – we are on the schedule for Sept.10. (Note that SkyHawks have invited the vets to a similar outing over Labor Day Weekend)
New Business
Lee: decision time – one club picnic in June or two club picnics – one in June and one in August? After much discussion it was decided to have a “Breakfast at the field” on June 18 with food ready at 10:30 and a nice lunch picnic on August 20. Both of these events are for club members and families.
Lee proposal to buy new “flight stones” and move one stone to the east of the east taxiway. A motion to expand the number of planes in the air was defeated – it remains 5. A motion to move the middle stone to the east side of the east taxiway was supported. Five flight stations “stones” continue to support five flyers in the air at any one time.
Lee revisited making his generator available for club members to use from the lock box outside the garage. Mark Roddy will finish the wiring and instructions will be disseminated.
