Minutes of the July 7, 2015 Meeting
Called to order at 7:00pm by President Lee Frederickson
Members present 12 regular members and 4 youth members
Guests present were Ed Buck and Ron Champion
Review of the Minutes of the June 2, 2015 meeting resulted in no additions, deletions, or changes.

The Financial Report was presented by Dan McLaren. No Questions were asked.

New Member: Ron Stein and Jim Johnson – both members last year
Membership details consist of 56 regular members, 4 lifetime members, 2 associate members, and 16 youth members which totals 78 members
Old Business
Lee asked for any ideas for field improvements and methods for funding them. The following ideas were presented but no funding ideas were forthcoming.
Ed Bradley will bring an aerial diagram for proposed center taxi way.
Mike Murphy will bring a diagram of a narrower and longer runway.
Some general discussion on a SW to NE runway addition.
Mark Roddy will bring a proposal on solar panels and batteries for future eelectrical needs.
Ed Bradley wants to change the bylaws so that major rules may be changed during the summer.
Ed Bradley wants doors on the shelter that will open completely and close to protect from wind, rain, and weather.
Lee wants to use the shelter to work on airplanes in the shade.
Lee reported on the Memorial Fly In of June 13. The food was good and the flying was fun for the 48 people who showed up. Good job goes to Mark Roddy.
Lee reported out on “West Michigan RC Travelers”. The Website is active and a few flyers have visited other locations.
Lee commented on Facebook site. A few members are starting to post items – check it out!
New Business

IMAC event at KRAM field Aug. 22 – 23. Mark Schmaltz is looking for help…
Vets Fly-In – September 12 (Danny Osborn getting flyer our.)
Lee noted that our landlord was responsible for the road improvements!!!
Lee noted that he has been getting nothing but positive comments about the infield / outfield mowing this summer.
Matt Slobe read his “thank you” note to the club for funding his trip to Camp AMA and discussed his experience there.
