Minutes of the December 1, 2015 Meeting
Called to order at 7:00 by President Lee Frederickson
There were 13 voting members present and two youth members present.
Guests present were Ed Buck, Rick Steinport, Roger Erridge, Dave Walters, Charles Rencurrel, Eric Pipenger, and Greg Markley.
Review of the Minutes of the November 3, 2015 meeting resulted in the correction to the length of the run way mat that the Warped Wings put down – length is 500 feet, not 5,000!

The Financial Report – not announced due to the number of nonmember guests.
Dues for 2016 are $75. Please send your check and Membership renewal form (available on the KRAM web site) to Treasurer Dan McLaren at 1058 San Lucia SE, East Grand Rapids, Mi. 49506. I have five renewals in hand – do not be the last to renew!
Old Business
Danny Osborn – discussed the history of Swap Shop raffle planes. Over the last 6 years the raffle revenue has stayed pretty constant regardless of the plane, be it civilian or military. No one had a plane in mind so Danny was charged to pick one that he thought would sell tickets well.
Lee opened the floor to nominations for club officers. Hearing no additions, Dan McLaren made a motion to close nominations and that was seconded by Mark Roddy. Motion carried.
George Orphan made a motion to elect the slate of candidates. Mark Roddy seconded the motion and the motion carried.

New Business
Greg Markley did a show and tell on West Michigan Park Flyers product line. They are all made of EPP and Depron foam and are all great indoor flyers and hold their own when flying outdoors. The students pointed out that they use the planes for their WMAA demo team and are great flyers. Greg gives a 10% discount to club members and is very customer friendly – if the lights are still on, he will answer the door!
Lee – coming events
Indoor Flying schedule for WMAA 1/16, 2/6, 2/27, 3/6 from 9am to 1pm. Cost is $5 per day, proceeds to the school R/C club
Indoor Flying at Woodland Sports from 9:00am to noon on
Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $10 per day.
Indoor Flying at West Michigan at the Home School building at Gezon Parkway and Burlingame. Flying on 12/19 from 6:00pm to 10:00. More dates to be published for January and February.
Indoor Flying with Port City at Lakeside Elementary School every Thursday from 6:00 until 10:00.

INFORMAL FORUM – Summer events improvements and schedules
All local club officers and interested parties (Warped Wings, Sky hawks, WMRAF, and Saranac)
Lee Frederickson kicked off the gathering stating he hoped we could identify one event at each club that the officers of the other clubs would try to encourage their members to attend. This would hopefully drive up attendance at the various club events and “meeting and mingling” of the club members.
