Minutes of the July 1, 2014 Meeting

Review of the Minutes of the June 3, 2014 meeting produced no additions, deletions, or corrections

Danny Osborn reported on the June 28 club Fun Fly. Only four people showed up so there was no fun fly. A discussion followed about the merits of having future fun-fly events since attendance has been historically very low. After much discussion it was decided that we should try an open fun fly on September 20 open to all AMA members.
Nik reiterated the change in the calendar made last month – No Big Bird Salute – and established July 26 from 11:00 to 1:00 as IMAC practice. The field will be partially restricted during that time.

Dan McLaren noted that the First Aid kit had been replenished with multiple sizes of gauze, tape, etc. Ed Bradley questioned why no rolls of gauze or smelling salts were purchased. A motion was made for Ed to purchase additional items that he believes should be in the first aid kit, based on his training. Motion was seconded and approved and Ed was authorized to spend up to $25 for any additional items. Elmars Kalnaraups made a $20 donation to towards the replenishment of the supplies.

50/50 for July won by Jim Grant who kindly donated his $8 winnings back to the club.
The July attendance winner was Matt Slobe
