Minutes of the May 6, 2014 Meeting
Called to order at 7:00pm by Vice President Dave Pierce

Review of the Minutes of the April 1, 2014 meeting produced no additions, deletions, or changes.

The Financial Report was presented by Dan McLaren. No questions, additions, or changes were made.

Current membership stands at 68 total (54 Regular, 4 Lifetime, 1 Associate, 9 Junior)
OLD BUSINESS:
Brian Thomas reminded all that May 10 is TAG day from 10am to 4pm. Set up will start at 8:00am and help is needed. Carl DeBruine volunteered one computer with simulator – another is needed. Help is needed for the sign in desk / assist with simulators before they go to the trainer / etc. Come on out and enjoy what is supposed to be a nice day.
Dan – field maintenance update.
– Field rolling should be done soon since frost laws came off this week.
– Weed killer / crab grass per emergent will be applied within the next few weeks.
– Work day last Sunday had a dozen people out who did a nice job fixing the fences and filling the gully under the mat. Thanks guys for a job well done.
– Ed Bradley was authorized to spend up to a hundred dollars on mat staples.
NEW BUSINESS:
Brian Thomas – reminder that the Memorial Fly-In is May 17. Help needed for:
– Set up at 9:00am
– Impound and sign in
– Cooking (burgers, brats, and dogs)
– Everyone bring a dish to pass (and donuts do not count)
SHOW AND TELL
Jim Grant showed off the Swap Shop raffle plane – a Hanger 9 Spitfire with an OS 65AX, flaps, and retracts. Thanks for the effort Jim. Looks great!
Mat Slobe showed off his 4Star 60 with a Fox 74 should find the sky next week. A very nice scratch build…
