OLD BUSINESS:
Nik reported the Jan. 1 Fly In had about 16 attending. A special thank you to Roz and Dan Osborn for the sloppy joes – too bad the crock pot handles broke and the good stuff ended up in the cat food. Warm pizza was a poor substitute!
Nik reported the plans for Buffalo Wild Wings fund raiser are finalized for February 10, 2013. Eat at (or take-out) the 44th Street restaurant any time during the day and turn in a flyer and the club will get part of your bill. Also, save a copy of your bill and give it to Nik for an extra ticket – attendance, 50/50, or swap shop raffle ticket – your choice. Download the flyer on the website events page.
Nik informed everyone that the first winter “build night” will be on February 9 and then every other week at 6:30pm at Mark Schmaltz’s home.
Nik reported that Tim Power has repaired the flag pole.
Dan McLaren reported Dave Kingma delivered 5 fruit baskets. All were pleased to be recipients of our Christmas Giving. The Day Care is closed with intent to rent the house…
NEW BUSINESS:
Reminder – AMA and Club Dues are now due! AMA is easy to do on line. Club renewal form is on our web site and also attached to the email sent to you from the Treasurer. Please fill out the form and add a check for $75 and mail to the Treasurer at the address listed at the bottom of the form.
Rider’s Hobby Shop presentation was delayed due to illness.
Dave Pierce announced the Swap Shop filer is complete and will be available on the website soon. Hard copies will be available at the next meeting.

Western Michigan RC Expo – July 12 – 14, 2013
Indoor flying is cancelled on 1/26/13 due to Kzoo swap meet.
Indoor flying is rescheduled from the Feb. 23 date to Feb. 16 due to school conflict.
Ed Bradley described an outreach program for Vets.
Show and Tell:
Raffle Plane for this year – donated by Riders – Revolver, with O/S 75 – donated by Hobby World. B&E graphics package to be added to improve looks of plane.
Danny Osborn showed a small pusher plane he designed and built to carry his camera so he would get no prop distortion. Said it flew well on Jan. 1st.
Nik talked described a TechOne Mini Piaget 16″ EPP pattern plane that he was flying in the gym before the meeting.
50/50 for January won by Fred Wiltse (the new guy!)
January attendance winner was Jarrett Heileman who got a 72mhz frequency checker
