New Member approval – Jason Watson and Craig Dunlap and son (application and balance of dues forthcoming)OLD BUSINESS:
Nik Zinsli reported out on survey of how to use Web revenue. Overwhelming sentiment is to set it aside for future needs and not use of ongoing operations at this time. The treasurer was directed to set it aside as encumbered until such time the club directs its use. The month of September produced a record $90 in Web Advertising Revenue, and our total for 2011 is over $300.
Mark reported on Vets Fly In. Seventy-three people, including 11 Vets, enjoyed a very nice day of flying and a nice picnic lunch. One issue to remember for future years is to insure the Vets are fed first and assisted where needed – their care givers can not do it all… Mark thanked all who helped with the set up / take down / and everything in-between.
George Orphan gave an update on the Swap Shop planning. All is going well – almost all wall tables are sold and activity is picking up. There will be a club table again this year. Set up is 7:00am – any and all help is appreciated.
NEW BUSINESS:
Mark Schmaltz pointed out that AMA elections are now in progress – vote before Nov. 12 for President, Executive Vice President, and District VII Vice President.
Mark Schmaltz opened the floor for Nominations for 2012 Officers. Nominations will again be accepted at the November meeting.

AMA dues are submitted directly to the AMA. The club will not be submitting AMA dues for you this year.
Ed Buck requested that the six or so missing “safety spikes” (spikes used to hold start-up stands in place) be replaced and a few extra kept in the pin box to replace any future missing ones. (question is – where did they go???)
Ed Bradley questioned what the intent for the roofing currently stored in the shed. Mark replied that the project, as are all capital projects, was on hold until next year so we can determine the final impact of the barns and moat on club activity.
The 50/50 was won by George Orphan. $12 went to the Club.
Nik brought in his ready for covering F-15 wing complete with navigation light upgrade, and gave a short explanation of his LED lighting installation process. Then we turned out the lights and showed just how bright the little LEDs are! I think someone had to put on their sunglasses. If anyone is interested, email Nik for a couple links for inexpensive light controllers and connectors. A video of his lighting so far can be seen here – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNAUCjuT5xs . If you would like to bring in your completed (or not!) project for show and tell this winter, please feel free!
