Well here we are at the end of another great year for KRAM.
We had our elections at the last meeting and I would like to welcome George Orphan, Dave Pierce & Ben Lopez to the executive board. For the returning members, Jim Peterson, Eddie Francisco, Nikolei Zinsli & Dan Mclaren, great have you back. A special thanks to past board members Dan Osborn, Jim Hiest & Bernie DesPress for a job well done.
Lee Frederickson brought up some ideas for field improvements in the future. Please take the time to read & consider them. We will be having more discussion on these topics at the meetings to come.
2010 has been a year of changes for KRAM, some small, some significant. We have seen the retirement of our long time AMA area VP, Larry Brannan & the appointment of his successor, Lee Frederickson. We also had the pleasure of our District 7 VP, Bill Oberdiek attending our banquet in February.
KRAM now has a much more visible website with many wonderful features thanks to Nikolei.
We became a gold level AMA leader club thanks to the efforts of Dan Mclaren
We had our first (annual?) Big Bird Sunset Fly which was a huge success for an inaugural event. Thanks to Lee Lubbers & his group.
We have eliminated renewing members AMA to help streamline the Secretary’s job. At the same time, we have decided to raise dues slightly to keep up with the times & strengthen our bank accounts.
These, along with our usual events and just general flying around (In the air & on the benches) have made 2010 a wonderful year for the club, it’s officers & members.
Thanks to all who assisted in the running of our events & keeping the club in order.
It has been a pleasure to be your President this past year & I look forward to a great 2011!
