It’s that time of year again, time to elect our 2011 officers. Looks like we have all the positions covered. voting will be at the December meeting. We have only one person per office, nothing is contested. Therefore, we will just have a show of hands to accept or reject the nominees rather than a ballot system. We have done this before, seems as though that’s how I got to be vice pres if my memory serves me correctly.
As you have noticed from the minutes, we will no longer be collecting AMA dues. The club felt that it was an outdated procedure no longer required due to modern technology. You have all received an explanation as to what to do with your AMA dues you submitted last year. The option of donating last year’s AMA dues to the club is an option entirely up to you, not a mandatory requirement. Quite a few members have participated (myself included) and it will give the club coffers a nice shot in the arm.
As we move forward into 2011, I would like the membership to think of some ways we can save money in the operation of the club. If you have any ideas, please bring them to the meeting.
The swap meet has come & gone, and as usual Dan Osborn did a bang-up again. Thanks Dan!
Well here we are getting into the late flying season. Looks like we are going to have some good weather, so get out while you can!
