Meeting was called to order on time, a nice group of 22.
We now have 2 new members, James Korringa and Mark Tucker. Welcome to the club guys!
The K-Zoo air zoo event is coming up, looks like it’s going to be a good time. Let’s hope the weather holds, that way if you wish, you can set up your display outside. We could use some volunteers for the make – and – take. Please contact Nikolei if you can help.
It’s official – we are now a GOLD level AMA leader club! Thanks so much to Dan McLaren for taking care of the details. All members will be receiving a gold pin from the AMA! We will also be receiving an engraved plaque to display at the field!
Chuck Rencurrel made a passionate motion to attract the park flyers in the area for a “free day” of flying with us. This might result in getting a few more members & friends. Chuck will be bringing us some more info.
Just a note about Tuesday nights. This is our traditional training night with many students getting instruction. Please try to keep this in mind if you are sharing the air with them. Try to stay in the pattern & call out your touch-and-go’s, landings, etc. It makes instruction much easier that way. Looking forward to soloing as many students as we can this year! Nothing like “Cutting the cord”!
We have received an invitation from the Grand Valley Radio Control Club to attend a fun-fly on May 22nd. 9 AM setup, lunch at noon. No admission, free food! Donations will be accepted. They are in Nunica. You can view their flier at the end of this page. This is also the date for our fun-fly at the club field.
Hope to see as many of you at the field as I can, my time will be limited this year due to medical issues.
Keep your wings level!
Mark
