Meeting Minutes

TUESDAY July 1, 2008

 

The meeting was called to order at 6:55 PM by President Danny Osborn.  We were pleased to have twenty three members present including old members that finally made it to a meeting, Hany Boulos and Jim Peterson; they both were sent out for milk and bread and got lost on the way.  I know my car when I am day dreaming always heads for the flying field.  Minutes of the June meeting were accepted unanimously after Mark Schmaltz made the motion and Jim Peterson seconded.

Treasurer gave the report, Dick Held made the motion, Mark Schmaltz seconded and it was acknowledged.

Total membership lies at 113 adult paying members after four new members were voted in.  They are: Jason Cameron, Jim Grant, Greg Guzzi, and Jim Look.  Welcome to the club guys, may you enjoy it as much as we do. 

 Old Business

There was a cub scout rocket launch at 10:30 Saturday the 14^th, during which 90 people and 55 rockets had a blast of a time.  Only Tom Tilford felt different after his windshield received damage.  Sorry about that Tom. 

New Business

Dave Kingma has the air craft retrieval system working.

Picnic is Sat. July 19, set up at 10:00 AM, bring a dish to pass, volunteer to help, and enjoy the day.  Rain day is Sunday the 20^th. at 1:00PM.

Fun Fly scheduled for Sat. Aug. 16 at 10:00 AM.

Warped Wings Breakfast is Aug. 2 eating at 8:00AM and fly at 9:00AM.

Jim Heist is thankful for his gift from the club.

Al Natali won the $13 in the 50/50.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm after Floyd Atkins motioned and Mark Schmaltz seconded.  Unanimous. Next meeting at the field on Tuesday August 5, 2008 at 7 pm.
